Sending Files
Anaconda’s FTP server makes sending digital files easy and fast,
plus there are no size limitations. We recommend you use a preflight software
such as Flightcheck‚ to assemble your files into a folder or directory.
This ensures we receive all the elements we need – images, supporting
graphics and fonts – to begin work on your job. It’s also
a good idea to use a compression program, like Stuffit or Zip, to minimize
the possibility of file corruption and speed transmission.
Once your folder or directory is compiled and appropriately named, you’ll
need three things:
- a user ID and password
- FTP (File Transfer Protocol) client software
- our FTP address: ftp.anacondapress.com
It just takes a phone call to Anaconda to get a user ID and a password.
We will then maintain a private folder in your name on the server that
you can access 24/7. When it comes to FTP software, there are many FTP
clients to choose from. We have extensive experience with Fetch and NetFinder.
If you need support the first time you use either of these browsers, we’re
here to answer questions and resolve problems. You can visit www.cnet.com
to check out Fetch, NetFinder and other FTP software. |
