It started with a frantic phone call from a designer. His client was leaving that evening for Las Vegas and needed two business cards that printed 4/4. Was there any way we could help? At 3:00 p.m. we received his files on our FTP server. A PDF was emailed for the designer’s approval. The job ran on the Indigo digital press, coming off the press dry so the sheets went immediately to the bindery for trimming. We charged the costs to the client’s credit card and generated an overnight label from the FedEx web site. At 4:55 p.m., the two sets of business cards were en route to Las Vegas.
